Damon Winter deserves the Pulitzer
I just read this morning that Damon Winter of the NY times received the Pulitzer Prize for his work on the Obama campaign trail. Its a very elegant series of images worth exploring in depth. I’ve been an admirer of Mr. Winter’s work for a while now and I don’t think they could have chosen a more deserving photographer. Here’s my favorite of the series:
He hasn’t been with the NY times for that long (I believe he used to shoot for the LA times). His first standout piece to my eyes was a beautiful collection of double exposures shot around New York last summer. Check out his discussion of the process at the link above.
