I’m very excited to announce that I will be participating in some small way at the upcoming Dumbo Arts Festival. Check out all the programs at the link above, but keep a special eye out for the happenings at the powerHouse gallery.

My image, The Reader (below) will appear in the Capture Brooklyn show put on by the organizers of the NY Photo Festival at the powerHouse gallery . The show opens September 23rd and runs through October 15th. So if you are in NY for the opening on the 23rd come down and say hi, or stop by and check it out!

Are you a man or a yellow bag with a phone book inside? I’ve been listening to the new Frightened Rabbit LP a lot lately. It is fantastic and reminds me of my time living in Edinburgh. Anyway, this picture makes me think of the lyrics from Man/Bag of Sand.

Here are a couple of images from a recent walk down Manhattan Ave in Greenpoint. I love this street and will often take a walk to visit the bank or post office rather than make the trip into the real Manhattan. There’s always a lot of activity, as anyone familiar with the area will know well, and it still manages to retain a bit of it’s polish roots which gives it a certain charm.

I’ve been shooting a lot of reflections lately, like the Hotel Delmano series and Ghost in the Machine. Here’s another much different from those, made in the open door of a bar around the corner. It is never open for business, but the shelves are stocked. Occasionally the doors are flung wide open, the televisions turned to a sporting event, but never a sole inside.
