I’ve crossed over this pass a number of times and this grove of Aspen trees are always intriguing and somewhat foreboding.

While on my way to meet with an old friend who’d just moved to New York, I took a short detour to the bank of the Hudson river to make this picture.

Here’s another much different from those, made in the open door of a bar around the corner. It is never open for business, but the shelves are stocked. Occasionally the doors are flung wide open, the televisions turned to a sporting event, but never a sole inside.
